Listed below are the guidelines for our clan.

  1. Be honest and never engage in any conduct to bring dishonor to our clan!
  2. Never use foul language or be needlessly rude!
  3. Promote and represent our clan at every opportunity!
  4. Always treat others with respect!
  5. All Admirals are automatically assigned to the Disciplinary Board and will conduct reviews with regards to clan members breaking clan rules!
  6. It is preferred that applicants for membership be at least 30 years of age, however, younger people will be considered for membership on an individual basis. We are a mature clan and strive to maintain a level of decorum and civility that age brings.
  7. After applying for membership, the president/vice-president will review the application and send out an E-Mail to all Flag Officers. If after a 2 day period there are no objections, the applicant will be granted membership. If a Flag Officer objects, then that officer will meet with at least 3 other Flag Officers to discuss the applicant and a vote will be taken.
  8. If a member quits this clan, you will have two weeks to come back and retain the same rank as when you left. After this period, you will be permitted back into the clan only after a review of your application by all members and you will start over in rank from the bottom. If you are a clan hopper, we don't want you, so hop along to another clan before bothering to apply for membership.
  9. You must be an active member, if it is determined that you are inactive for an excessive amount of time (a month or more), you will be contacted via E-Mail asking if you wish to remain a member and to see what the problem is that may be causing inactivity. You will be dropped only if you cannot or will not participate as a member. If you will be absent for a long period of time for some reason and you wish to retain your membership, simply contact clan leadship and let us know.
  10. You must maintain a valid e-mail address and update when you change addresses. If you do not maintain a valid e-mail address, you will be removed from the roster. It is also strongly recommended that you use the messageboard.
  11. You must be willing to receive e-mails from clan leadership regarding clan news/activities. If you do not want our mail, then you are not LOF/LYF material and should resign. If you inform us that you don't want the mail, we will immediately remove you from the roster.

  1. After playing a Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) or above in the clan (the challengee must be of equal rank or higher), if you either win the match or the officer states that s/he is impressed with your play, s/he will post one promotion vote for you. Once a member has accumulated 5 votes, s/he can be awarded a promotion, pending review by The Admiralty. If you play a game that you cannot play 1 on 1 with, the Branch can provide an alternative method with The Fleet Admirals approval.
  2. After every year of clan membership you will be eligible for a promotion. This time will be tracked automatically. You cannot, however, attain or gain flag rank through longevity. (see next rule)
  3. In order to attain flag rank (Rear Admiral & above), you must work your way up through the ranks to Commodore and then challenge a flag officer in a one on one match to 10. If you impress the flag officer, s/he will contact the Fleet Admirals and recommend you for promotion. After attaining flag rank, you will fall back under the 5 vote system for promotion to higher flag ranks. If you play a game that you cannot play 1 on 1 with, the Branch can provide an alternative method with The Fleet Admirals approval.
  4. Once you attain flag rank it is your charter to train junior officers and give them the opportunity to compete against you in their effort to attain flag rank. If challenged, you must play!
  5. Once promoted you must spend 90 days at that rank before you are eligible for your next promotion.
  6. The Fleet Admiralty have final approval on all promotions.
